Samuel Johnson's Dictionary

All books in this range are bound in Moroccan goatskin, with a design and title tooled in gold, and a brass clasp. They have around 48 pages, with gilt top edge. The frontispiece is individually hand-coloured. Each is 1 1/8" tall; width is from 7/8" to 15/16".

Hugely influential. This abridgement is delightful to read for the elegant, witty, and biased definitions. Bound in black, with gilt diamond pattern.
